Dr Michael Ashby is a consultant clinical and laboratory haematologist. His particular areas of expertise are acute leukaemia, myeloid blood cancers and allogeneic (donor) stem cell transplantation.
Michael holds consultant positions at Alfred Health and Western Health, and is Clinical Lead for Myeloid Disorders at Latrobe Regional Health. He also consults privately at John Fawkner Hospital.
Alongside his clinical work, Michael is undertaking a PhD with the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases at Monash University. He is an active member of the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group, contributing to its AML/MDS, ALL and transplant working parties, and is involved in clinical trials as both a principal and sub-investigator across his sites.
