A Queensland graduate, with training experience in London and Washington, Professor Schwarer has worked in the field of malignant haematology in Melbourne for 20 years.
Professor Schwarer's primary clinical interests are chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML), acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) and acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). He has been, and continues to be, involved in national and international clinical trials in these diseases.
